Apologies to anyone who watches my dA for the lack of new shots recently, I've been particularly busy over the summer and since getting back to Uni.

I've recently started photography for Durham Student Theatre, and set up a flickr account for those photos and potentially others in the future. This can be found here: www.flickr.com/photos/icassu/

First production is one of Patrick Marber's "Closer", which you may have seen as the film adaptation a few years back. Anyone in Durham; it's on at the end of this month at the Assembly Rooms, look out for posters for more details over the next week or so.

I may yet try and update my dA, but it's equally likely I'll stick with flickr for my work for the time being, with the current situation where I have little time for photography outside of that I'm asked to do by others. Huzzah for birthday presents, parents were very generous this year (as I am now 18, scary), and bought me a new, shiny telephoto lens. To be specific, the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L.

Had some time to play around with it now, and uploaded first couple of Deviations using it, both taken at the Festival of History. Lots more that I was pleased with, but I'm picky like that.

Also uploaded four shots from my two week holiday in California. Visited San Francisco, Sacramento and  Yosemite, with a brief mid journey stop at San Juan Bautista, before heading to Monterey and the back to San Francisco. Took 1300ish shots total, but was taking ages going through them, and wanted to get the shots of the planes up, so stuck with four. This might be a good time to point out the time stamps are all on UTC, I didn't change my camera's time while I was in the US.

In the meantime, I got the A Level results I needed, so I'll be off to Durham in a little under six weeks. Looking forward, among other things, to have a whole new city to shoot, so that'll be fun.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who has my work recently, 'tis much appreciated.

Yay! I finally uploaded something that wasn't a photo. Quite pleased with it really. I still have various canvases etc. in different states of completion lying around the house.

Off the top of my head, two small pieces of board with acrylic painting that need maybe an hour or so to finish off each; two slightly larger square canvases, one with a background sorted and the other one with just a sketch done; one heowge board (A1-ish) all sketched out with tiny bit of painting, plus miscellaneous ideas floating around in my head.

Whether any of these will ever see completion I can't say, but I promise to try, despite my short attention span. I guess that's why I lean towards photography.

Feeling more chilled than I ought to be in the run up to exams, but I'm not overly terrified, thankfully. Except for next thursday's exam, will run off and revise soonish.

P.S. While writing this entry, I have had to employ a cat removal device (read: cushion) in an attempt to clear my desk, and then suffered ankle wounds. Ouch.

Hello there,

I've been meaning to sign up for dA for a while, I have a feeling I tried to a while back but found my IP was blocked for some reason.

My first love in art is photography, as you can see from my first three deviations, but I try a little bit of everything from time to time, some pencil sketching, acrylics, clay and graphic design with CS2.

Anyway, nice to meet you if you've stumbled upon my page, any comments on my photos are welcome.
